With any big goal or dream, continuing your life the way you are currently living it won’t get you to where you want to be. You need to make small changes to form habits that will transform your life and eventually resulting in reaching your goal. Seems to simple right? Well, it is that simple. With the proper system and mindset, you can do anything, and I truly believe that. I believe in you!
I love seeing all the wins and adventures my fellow business babes and friends are doing on the daily. But social media can be a huge time-sucker and mentally draining. I have curated all of my social feeds to only display content that motivates and inspires me. If I want to check up on a friend, I will manually do it with intention. This doesn’t mean that my friend’s lives drain me. Individually no, but constantly being bombarded with EVERYONE’S lives can sometimes be too much, and give me a bit of anxiety.
Investing in myself is something I finally started doing last year and it paid off! This year I have decided to make it priority as personal growth has such an impact on my business and mindset. I have already enrolled in a few courses and I plan to schedule more throughout the year. I am currently created my “must-read” list to reach my goal of reading 2-3 personal development and business books each month. If you have any recommendations, I’d love to hear them below!
Setting boundaries can be difficult, especially if you are a people pleaser. By not setting boundaries in our lives we run the risk of focusing all of our energy on things that we aren’t passionate about, taking on too much, and putting ourselves and our own personal goals on the back burner.
I set some major boundaries for my life and business last year. Sometimes I followed through and sometimes I didn’t. I am ok with that, it taught me what I really need to allow in my life and what I need to allow less of. 2021 is my year for boundaries.
We all know how important staying hydrated is for our health and brain functions. Drinking enough water is one of the biggest problems I have. My intentions are great first thing in the morning, but once the hustle of the day starts it ends there. Some symptoms I experienced from being dehydrated was fatigue, headaches and irritability. This was not good for my body or my mental state. I have set reminders on my smart watch to remind myself to drink a glass of water, so no more excuses!
Sometimes we can get carried away with the thought and motivation for our future that we forget to live our life right now. We are in such a rush to reach our goals that we don’t enjoy the present moment. Imagine that you are living your best life at this present time, feel those emotions. Sometimes, as well all do, I find myself getting carried away by the hustle. Live in the moment, love the now, and enjoy the path to your future.
I used to think that in order to be successful I had to have it all figured out, and able to do it all, but that is not true. Understanding who you are and what your needs are to be happy and healthy is success. Knowing when you need to shift your habits to be your best self, and make changes is success.
Focusing and nurturing our current selves help us reach our goals and enjoy the journey.
